RENAISSANCE BEGINS SEARCH FOR AN ADDITIONAL MASSAGE THERAPIST
posted: 29.04.2011
We’re taking a thoughtful, purposive approach to growing our massage staff, inviting interested massage therapists to submit your resume and begin a dialogue about joining us. We're excited about helping you grow your practice by sharing our considerable clientele of massage enthusiasts and all the good things that come from working with a team of dedicated massage therapists and receptionists.

Here are some of the attributes we’ll be looking for in our next colleague. We want to assure candidates that while we value experience, we’re also enthusiastic about helping new professionals launch their career. New graduates, please consider starting your brilliant career at Renaissance!

In addition to the Washington State license and professional insurance, the strong candidate will have the following:

• Experience or training in clinical massage or orthopedic massage, with a wealth of skills and techniques to use in service to a range of client needs. We see a wide variety of people with an array of expectations of massage therapy.

• Very strong, enthusiastic references from clients, colleagues, or, in the case of those newly graduated, faculty.

• A desire to work alongside other massage therapists and receptionists; to build your own practice while sharing in the development of the Renaissance professional community.

• Mastery at assessing client needs and placing them at the center of their visit.

• Availability to work late afternoons/early evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Preference will be given to therapists who are currently preferred providers for major medical insurers in Washington State.

Approximately 85% of our clients are returning clients, making our work highly relational. As a result we will ask our new colleague to commit to being with us for at least a year. A very strong candidate will make a two or more year commitment.

Sound attractive? Please send a letter and resume' to our street address or via email to renaissance@olypen.com.

It's Farmstead Cheese-a-Palooza this Saturday at our Farmers' Market booth. We haven't had the popular Mutschli--firm, smooth cheese made from a Swiss recipe that is slightly sweet and nutty--since last spring. So we're celebrating by taking two dollars off the per-pound price.

To fill out the perfect (farmstead) cheese plate with Mutschli we're also bringing Blue Rose Dairy's fresh chevre--both pure/plain and some with Johnston Farm's fragrant dill, Mt. Blanchard--Samish Bay Creamery's take on white cheddar, and, yep, Big Boy Blue, from Willapa Hills Creamery! Now THAT'S a farmstead cheese plate!

Massage. Right When you Need It. Just When you Want It.
posted: 30.07.2006
Enjoying regular massage as part of one's healthful lifestyle is ideal--for the body/mind/spirit and for getting on a massage therapist's calendar. But sometimes, we strain a muscle, have unexpected free time on our hands, or want to treat someone (including oneself) and want or need a massage. Now!

Finding a massage therapist available on short notice can be a challenge.

Not anymore. At Renaissance we'll get you in to enjoy a relaxing and/or therapeutic massage from a licensed massage therapist. See our massage menu here on the site, or download a copy for your convenience below.

Think about chair massage. It's not just for the airport anymore!

There is a growing number of people popping in to Renaissance midweek over their lunch hours or breaks to get a stress-relieving chair massage. Last week a weary social worker took a half hour break from a tough case to regroup and relax with a 20 minute chair massage. A county employee with a 50-page report deadline came by for a quick 5 minutes of forearm and upper body massage before returning to his typing marathon.

Call first, if you'd like or simply drop in for a chair massage. We're pretty sure you'll be glad you did.

This Week At Renaissance!

Join us this Thursday at 11:30 am for a whirlwind organic tea tour. We'll taste sublime white teas, healthful greens, calming botanicals, and sprightly blacks. We'll even drink green rooiboos! Yes, GREEN rooiboos! Yum! Call us, or send an email, to reserve your spot on the deck!

Then, on Saturday, true coffee fans can enjoy the kind of morning we sometimes fantasize about: a sunny deck, small cups of luscious and mysterious brew delivered the best way--from a French press, surrounded by people who understand us, talking about some of our favorite topics: Arabica beans, brew times, and, well, you know... Call us.

For more information, click on our Calendar of Events, just to the left.

As always, remember, we're the place you can call for massage, WHEN YOU NEED IT! We offer chair massage on a drop-in basis, and chances are good that when you want a therapeutic full-body massage, a Renaissance massage therapist will be here when the need arises.
