Brewing the Perfect Cup of Coffee
Coffee lovers the world ‘round know that the French Press is the preferred method for making our favorite brew. This simple system creates a rich, smooth cup of coffee, largely because its mesh filter allows the natural lipids in coffee to make it into the cup; something a paper filter can't do. At Renaissance we use this deliciously slow method for all our hot coffee. So, sit back and prepare to be transported to faraway places with your first sip.
For you iced coffee and au lait drinkers we have prepared your coffee using a cold brew method. This 16 hour process produces a richly complex brew that is virtually acid-free, high in the coffee flavor we all love.
Our lightest, brightest coffee. This is the coffee you'll want to drink iced, or hot on a sunny morning filled with vibrancy and light. Or, on a day when you're reminiscing about the sunny days of summer. Enjoy its subtle, spicy aroma, light body, light acidity, and clean, smooth finish. Taste a hint of chocolate and nuts.
Colombian Los Santos
Mmmmmmm...Columbian Los Santos is likely to become your everyday coffee, cherished for its consistency and good, solid body. But, you also won't miss its brightness, sweetness, a floral aroma, with a smooth finish.
Decaf Mexican Chiapas
You'll love this Swiss Water Processed Mexican Chiapas. It's light and bright, and you can rest assured that your coffee has been decaffeinated in the safest way possible. We can't tell the difference between decaf and regular.
This delicious Columbian is treated to a bit darker roast which produces a sweet and carmelly taste and mouthfeel. Many people feel that Columbia produces the best, most consistent coffees in the world. One sip of Columbia Dark and you'll understand why.
Costa Rican Monteverde
Costa Rica's cloud forests produce world-renowned coffees that are light and bright. Our organic version is so flavorful and clean, and bright it nearly evaporates in the mouth. If you've ever travelled in Costa Rica and had their beautiful coffee, one sip is guaranteed to transport you right back there.
Renaissance is proud and fortunate to offer this very special organic Fair Trade coffee. Café Femenino begins with beans from woman-owned and operated farms along the Incan trail in the Peruvian Andes. This women's coop represents a growing opportunity for world-wide coffee drinkers to enjoy our passion while creating living wage jobs and community resources in the Coffeelands. On top of its Fair Trade goodness, taste the subtle brightness, fruit notes, aromatic, medium body, and clean finish of this fine organic coffee.
This hearty blend of South and Central American coffee beans is being treated to a bit darker roast and they stand up beautifully! So beautifully, in fact, Aztec Dark gives our most popular coffee—Sumatra Dark—some competition among true blue coffee drinkers. You'll find Aztec Dark complex and tasty, but light and bright rather than syrupy and rich, without a hint of the "burn" that dark-roast coffee drinkers love. Smooth, very smoooooth.
Decaf Aztec Dark
We challenge you, just try to taste the difference between Decaf and Regular Aztec Dark!
We're happy to be offering this 100% organic coffee to our guests who enjoy flavored coffees. Try this medium bodied coffee with the finest Madagascar vanilla and rich, savory hazelnut. Our Vanilla Nut has no sweetner, but you'll taste the natural sweetness coaxed perfectly from the coffee bean in the roasting process. A splash of half & half and this coffee becomes dessert!
Yum! This smoooooth coffee is mild and chocolatey, with fruit overtones that you are really going to like! This coffee is like a warm, dry African breeze off the coast; you can taste the sunshine in your cup.
Highland Sumatra Dark Roast
This Renaissance staff favorite is organically grown and processed in Indonesia. It is roasted to a light, caramely French Roast to produce a full bodied, lightly acidic, rich, smooth coffee. Ahhhhhhh, try this on a lazy, languid day and imagine the heady things that will happen in your life.
Decaf Highland Sumatra
Enjoy this syrupy, full-bodied decaf for its rich flavor, thanks to the Swiss water decaffeination process designed to remove all the caffeine and leave all the flavor. In addition to its smooth body, you'll taste earthy notes and a dark, finish. Mmmmmmmmmm......
Ethiopian Arabian Night
Africa's first certified organic fair trade and shade grown coffee! This is a dark roast with a full body. First, be wowed by its earthy aroma, then savor its sweet and spicy taste with a hint of blackberry. This Ethiopean Arabian Night has a piquant finish.
This delicious classic was roasted in the traditional French Roast style. An all-time favorite, it is rich, caramely with spice notes, bitter-sweet tang and a clean, striking finish. Yum!
Decaf French Roast
Just like our regular French Roast this classic coffee was roasted in the traditional French Roast style. It is rich, caramely with spice notes, bitter-sweet tang and a clean, striking finish. All this and none of the caffiene!
Renaissance Small Farm Blend
Taste this special blend of coffees from small farms in the world's greatest Coffeelands. Syrupy, full-bodied coffee from the Indonesian archipelego complemented by spicy, muscular beans from African Bagisu Tribespeople using sustainable farm practices, and finished with light, bright beans from an important cooperative of indigenous Mexican coffee farmers.
Local Coffee Drinkers: Ask us about Javalinks our bulk coffee buying club. We sell all of our coffees for $9.95 per pound (a bit more for decaf) and every month we have a special or two at $8.85 per pound. It's a GREAT way to save money on (delicious) coffee and support small farmers around the world.
